Fundraising

PHCC is always eager to look at new ideas for events, activities, trips, etc and especially new ideas for fundraising.  The club has its own merchandise clothing officer and an online ‘store’ from which you can select items…. It’s will worth checking that out at any time of the year as the range covers lighter T-shirts to heavier hooded tops.

PHCC Club Lottery

This was a new venture in 2015 intended to raise funds to go towards the clubhouse building

and fitting out introduced and run by Peter G.  The concept is basically a “100 club” approach

with contributors paying a sum and the monthly prizes for the first three places drawn from a

% of the total income received.    The series of draws has now been completed and members

may be invited to join again at the time of the subscription renewals.

Prizes are drawn each month at the committee meetings or at other other club functions.

If you would like to continue this or a similar scheme please contact a member of the committee

PHCC Calendar  - 2015 - onwards

The club has produced its own calendar several times in recent years and has used images

from the monthly photographic competition within its design.  What a great present -

or if you aren’t in ‘giving mood’ - what a functional item to have around at home or in the office.

Images from the ongoing competitions will be considered for inclusion in next year’s calendar.

Rolling Courses

PHCC continues to provide members with training opportunities and amongst these are the

Winter series of rolling (and water-confidence) courses held at Ferndown Leisure centre.

They are bookable in advance and last for a five week period.  The courses are ususally over-subscribed but please contact the training adviser for information about availablity or check the Web-Collect area for vacant slots on the different courses.

Pool Session & Polo

The second Friday in each month is the scheduled date for a Friday open session at Ferndown

Leisure Centre’s pool and has two sections - one of open training and one of a low-key informal

polo session. Polo is a developing area of the club and consequently equipment is being upgraded

and slowly introduced under the driving energies of Allen W, Andy C, Evan Cotterill, Jenni D, Peter Hobby, Nick B & team

Slalom Training & Competitions

Although over the years many members of PHCC have competed in Slalom competitions the discipline has only recently been reintroduced - past participants helping with advice and guidance.   Some training happens throughout the year with competitions entered.  If you would like to try the event or join in with sessions then contact Peter Hobby, Paul Marshall or Allen Westerby for further advice. There is a ‘Slalom Chat’ group (on ‘Messenger’) within which news of sessions can be shared - so just ask to join.   Check out the Slalom pages - for training ideas and the News Feed
