          Development at Wimborne Riverside

The role of encouraging and developing K1, C1 and Racing disciplines over the last few seasons has been under the guidance of Bill Jaggs with Mark Taylor also contributing to the activities on the Stour at Wimborne.    A thriving Racing Team and a number of accomplished Juniors has been the result of a lot of effort and support and under Mark’s guidance this is set to continue.   

The regular sessions at Wimborne Riverside have grown and both Saturday and Wednesday sessions are well attended.    Time trials over standard distances are run each month and occasionally may be postponed to combine with the following month’s session if weather conditions do not permit the event to go ahead.

The successful development of the Wimborne paddling facilities -

run in partnership with Dreamboats - has been a result of the tireless work and inspired visions of Bill, Mark and their team at Wimborne.

Mark is a Level 2 coach as well as being a 4 star sea kayaker.
