Under 10 and Under 12 Racing

Are you under twelve ?

As well as the Junior Sessions on Tuesdays at Lake Pier the juniors have their own program of events most weekends throughout the year.

In the winter dedicated junior sessions at Ferndown Leisure Centre pool prior to the Adult members’ rolling and practice sessions. For those interested in racing there are midweek and Saturday sessions at Riverside in Wimborne and race meetings at other clubs. Those aged 10 to 12 even have a special class - see the under 10 and under 12 racing on the racing pages.  

( We also don’t forget the 12 to 16s either ! )

The divisions for your age group are Under 12 boys, Under 12 girls, Under 10 boys and Under 10 girls. Marathon lightning races are usually 2.5 miles and sprints are usually 200m and 500m.

We also have K2s and K4s in your size if you want to paddle and race with a friend  .... and there’s a special racing kayak made just for you guys called a Lightning !
